I'm A Lame Friend

Today I stalked one of my best friends on Facebook.  The problem with this is that I found myself trying to catch up with what's been going on in her life there because, unfortunately, I have done a terrible job of keeping up with her in real life.

We have been friends since high school and have stuck together through attending different colleges, getting married, getting jobs, and so much of life that, since high school, has been shared long distance. We used to sing together, jam out to this song, and even got to work at summer camp together once upon a time.

These days she is an amazing 2nd grade teacher, a super cool wife, and a lay leader in her church.  I'm so proud of how she works to help the church function like it should.  And I'm completely impressed by her tech savvy and creativity!  Plus, she's just plain fun to be around.  I miss you, Lisa... sorry I've been a lame friend lately.

On a completely unrelated note, I have recently discovered the excitement of socked feet on hardwood floors.  They are SO slippery.  Let me tell you, socks make it really difficult to run from a husband chasing you through the house!  There is a cold front coming in this weekend and I can't wait to report which one of us busts it first.
